robin schreiber Thank you for your advice--I am doing a 2-dimensional backsplash ( ann sacks puzzle tile--it is so cool) and have to include swichplates by the sink (garbage disposal/lights) So I do now see large pic and they had the water dispenser above stovetop, so I guess they can place them--just make sure you get a good tile installer :)
SF Design & Build That's a great idea with the plugs and switches, BUT it would not pass inspection in California. The electrical codes are quite specific on where the plugs must be located. If you are doing your work with a permit, this kitchen would flunk. Best to get the inspection done before you tile the backsplash and re-locate the plugs.
I have all white cabinets, panald walls, 3 doors to the kitchen , and one small window. It need some spucing up. I like red , white and blue, how can put those colors in my kitchen. i also like chicken. I really need more color »
Anne DeCocco You didn't give me any budget clues, so I'll start low. Could you bring some of those colors into the kitchen on the curtains? Easy place to start! Then dishtowels (nice ones), maybe a tea pot on top of the stove with color, a rug by the sink with your colors and a big, colorful picture of a chicken from art.com hanging securely on the door. Ta-da!
This is such a beautiful tile option... would you kindly provide the mfgr / style for those of us who are considering this purchase? Thank you so much. »
Linda Kennedy This basketweave is from Encore Ceramics www.encoreceramics.com. They make beautiful handmade tiles, in lots of different glazes. Gorgeous!!
Vanessa Brunner Hey there!
There are a lot of companies that offer 3D wall solutions. I'm actually not sure if that's grout... Here's a company on Houzz that might give you a better idea of how it works: http://www.houzz.com/photos/professionals/14474/MyWallArt
Multi-faceted and complex. The pattern, texture and depth created by this basketweave backsplash works beautifully with the smooth, clean surface of the marble counters.
