Here's something to think about when decking your own halls, especially if you're lazy like me: How can I seasonlize my home's decor without a huge overhaul? This gives you a platform to build your color scheme in sync with your stuff. In my situation, I needed a tone that would pop against my dark brown and bronze decor. After flipping through my fan deck, I found three appropriate solutions: coral, violet and orange. Of the three, violet was the only tone in which manufacturers stock holiday decor. Once violet was decided on, the rest kinda fell into place.
