Terri Lehman I have a question that i am hoping you can get the answer for?!?!?!
the exterior wavy board and trim...the nails were countersink, then a filler over nails, then painted....how is that filler holding up after a winter and summer?

nancekivell home planning & design The trim color is only Pepperwood solid by Cabot. The body is Bark solid (siding) and semi-transparent Bark on all shake siding.

nancekivell home planning & design The lower siding is cedar wavy siding, the boards range between 10-12 inch wide and they are tapered like other cedar siding. These boards give you a nice rustic style. You finish them with any wood stain or paint.

nancekivell home planning & design Yes, I would add brick moulding to give the wind definition more prominence next to the 6" trim, especially if the trim is a different color then the clad windows.

nanacindy I really like your cabin and the coloring you picked out. Are you still happy with the color? Are if you could have a do over would you pick a lighter color. We are building a new cabin and I was wondering about the coloring of your cabin. Thanks Cindy

Wavy-edge siding. Red roof. The shingles are made by CertainTeed, Landmark series, color is Cottage Red. I see two different Cottage Red by CertainTeed - Landmark "Independence" Designer or just Landmark Designer series. The "Independence" are more expensive. One seems to have more variation in the coloration than the other. Do you know which one you used?
