nancekivell home planning & design It's called Wavy siding (cedar) and it is installed the same as any lap siding. Where boards butt to one another the bevel wave of the board is trimmed to line up with the adjoining board to continue the line of the random wave. The texture of this siding gives the structure a rustic casual feel and it pairs nicely with straight cedar siding and shakes as used on this project.

sabwat I see two different Cottage Red by CertainTeed - Landmark "Independence" Designer or just Landmark Designer series. The "Independence" are more expensive. One seems to have more variation in the coloration than the other. Do you know which one you used?

nancekivell home planning & design There was only one option when this project was built. There is not much variation in the product we used, so my guess would be it's the Landmark Independence. However the variation in color may make a great looking red roof too. Personally I like shingles that have some variation in their color, it creates a slight patina for the roof mass instead of looking so monochromatic.
