Slater Associates Landscape Architects The Pennsylvania Blue Stone is set in a random rectilinear pattern. Most of these stones run between 12" x 12" up to 24" x 24" jumping in 6" increments, such as 12" x 18" and 18" x 24" etc. It makes a beautiful pattern. Remember to avoid lining up multiple joints when possible. Experience and patience help considerably.

I love this set-up for the fireplace which we would like to put outside the patio door. The landscaping walls add a little texture to the yard. Not sure I like the flagstone patio (very hot in the summer to walk on barefoot) Maybe an acid washed or stained concrete patio. I would want more of a living room area in front of the fireplace and dining under the perogola.
