Debbie M I know that Ikea sells strips of magnetic steel to mount in kitchen. I had it in our prev house and if I remember right it came in 2 sizes, approx 18" and 24"??
mousemaker i don't really know except that i know i could never live with the ones pictured. it's too dangerous if a person is accident prone, arthritic, or takes blood thinners. I'm not trying to be dramatic, just practical. the other thing is that if they are out in the open, they won't stay very clean. i prefer a knife block or a drawer that is specific for storing knives.
