Soaring mountain peaks, rugged terrain, and old pine forests appeal to a large audience of outdoor adventures. Regardless of whether your mountain experience includes skiing, fly-fishing, hiking, or lounging by the fireplace, the majestic grandeur and awe of the mountains have inspired a unique, architectural style.
Rustic woods and equally rustic finishes are a notable feature of “Mountain” architecture. A massive, stone fireplace is another definitive focal point. Furnishings are imposing and luxurious, design elements are grand scale, and natural textures and surfaces (stone, wood, burnished, metals, etc/) are expertly blended. Rustic woods and distressed finishes are a perfect complement to “Mountain Resort” styling.

What is the back splash tile? - What is the back splash tile? Where could I purchase? »
Dura Supreme Cabinetry I’m glad you asked. The backsplash tile in this kitchen is 1” x 6” “Rustin Brown Mosaic Slate – Chinese Multi Color” (SKU# GM SL MUL 0106) from Kate-Lo Tile & Stone. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’d be more than happy to help answer them.
Dura Supreme Cabinetry Thank you for your inquiry. I do not have the exact flooring used on file. It looks like we used a tile floor with a natural tan hue, possibly state tile from Kate-Lo Tile & Stone.
What color stain is on the cherry cabinets? - There looks like a glaze as well and is that hood cherry too? What is that back splash? and color of granite. I want this kitchen! »
Dura Supreme Cabinetry We are glad to hear you like our Mountain Resort kitchen! The Dura Supreme Cabinetry in this photo is shown in the Bella doors style with Rustic Cherry in Dura Supreme’s “Heavy Patina A” finish. The Mantel Hood is the same Rustic Cherry wood, finish and make as the rest of the cherry cabinetry. The island is shown in the Sunbury House door style, in Maple with Dura Supreme’s “Country Traditions M” finish.
The backsplash tile is the “GM.SL.MUL.0106” by Kate-Lo Tile & Stone. The tile features a rough-hewn, stone texture and earthy coloring that works great with the Mountain Resort style.
The countertops are the “Zodiac Smokey Topaz” with 1/8” round over edge preface by Dupont Corian.
