Rustic woods and equally rustic finishes are a notable feature of “Mountain” architecture. A massive, stone fireplace is another definitive focal point. Furnishings are imposing and luxurious, design elements are grand scale, and natural textures and surfaces (stone, wood, burnished, metals, etc/) are expertly blended. Rustic woods and distressed finishes are a perfect complement to “Mountain Resort” styling.

Dura Supreme Cabinetry The island has Dura Supreme’s “Country Traditions M” finish. Getting this look is not done with glazes; Dura Supreme Cabinetry takes layers of color and hand-detailing to show the highlighted colors on the cabinetry. The corners are softened, and the surface is distressed to create a time-worn appearance. With this artistic finish application the cabinetry exhibits unique, subtle variations like you see here.

The rest of the kitchen cabinetry is shown on Rustic Cherry in Dura Supreme’s “Heavy Patina” finish. The Heavy Patina finish is hand-detailed to create an “antiqued” appearance with beautiful dimension and depth. The doors and drawers are distressed, glazed and detailed, and the corners are shaded to create a time worn appearance. The Heavy Patina on Cherry comes in three different glaze options, (E) Mission/Shadow, (F) All Spice/Shadow and (D) Mocha/Shadow. I believe this kitchen features E with the Mission/Shadow.

Dura Supreme Cabinetry Great question! The kitchen cabinetry is Dura Supreme’s Rustic Cherry and the kitchen island cabinetry is in a painted Maple with Dura Supreme’s “Country Traditions” finish.

Dura Supreme Cabinetry Thank you! The dish set is Tortoise Shell stoneware by Target Home. It’s both microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I believe it is discontinued for fall, but you may still be able to find the sets for sale on EBay or Amazon.

We love this style. Like the open storage on the end of the island (books, not plates), and the color contrast between island and cabinets. Color of wood/stain on cabinets is very nice. A bit rustic but still refined.
