Vintage Renewal Always a staple gun. I use an air gun with an air compressor, but you can also begin with an upholstery hammer and tacks. I am going to be blogging more about how to redesign furniture and what you need at www.vintagerenewal.com if you want to sign up for the mailing list and learn how to do it too. It's so much fun to put your own style stamp on furniture. You'll love it!
Vintage Renewal Hi Junk Chic! I designed this stool myself and I sell all my work on www.vintagerenewal.com. I was actually gifted this stool out of an industrial warehouse in Denver and I tore it apart to the bare bones and built it back up with burlap and vintage scarves.
I should be doing an entire office chair series on my site come January. Make sure to keep up with what we are doing. :-)
Thanks for writing!
This drafting table is so chunky and interesting, it would look great with anything. The backdrop is a score of thrifted art pieces Connolly calls granny art. "I love those old-school '70s crochet and embroidery art pieces I randomly come across in my vintage scouting!"

Angle your workstation. Rather than feeling like you are boxed in, try positioning your desk on an angle. It will make the room feel more open when you're sitting and allow you to work from a perspective you aren't used to.
