Venegas and Company We agree with Kerrylee, loosing the natural light is hard to say without seeing a picture. My first reaction is no - maybe you can incorporate the tile around your window opening and casing?

bamamom How about installing the tile to cement board, or another type material that would hold the tile, and hanging it on a wall as an accent piece in your kitchen. It could be possible to glue the tiles down to the backing since they would not be subjected to water, etc. and eliminating the need for tile mud. I have seen mosaics and such, from broken tile and glass, that are done as artwork, so I would think that tile could be done the same way. Granted, it would be heavy, so heavy duty anchors in the wall would be needed.
Maybe someone understands what I am trying to describe and could contribute thoughts.
