ThankU.ca I think this is again fir however there is more of the lighter sapwood showing... its a tough call but if you look at the stair treads on this project they are fir and there is also a fair bit of red cedar used on walls etc... i'm less sure about the tongue and groove, good luck!
bling light - Hi this is tagged the Robert Abbey bling light but the way it is hung looks more like an Ochre light...does anyone know if this was customized to hang the way that it does? The bling normally hangs on a chain. I want it to hang this way in the picture but don't know if the hardware on the bling comes this way or if I have to have it custom tweeked to hang that way. Please advise.... Thank you! »
Hi, I was wondering what the paneling material and color is above the fireplace?
Oh, and who is the supplier of the fireplace? (I assume it is gas? or gel?)
Thanks! »
I don’t know about you, but my feet are always chilly in the colder months. An easy fix for this is a rug in a dark shade — it will collect heat from any sun it may get during the day. Your toes will thank you.
MaterialsThis image makes for a nice transition to a discussion of materials and how they compose space. The room is largely accomplished through its use of materials; the exposed wood structure and ceiling create an expectation of the space that is confirmed with the view of the exterior. Materials form a space appropriate to its context.I have been known to tell clients that if a space is well thought out, it could be covered in chicken feathers and still be successful. Although I believe that to be true, the important question to ask is, Are chicken feathers the appropriate material to use for that space?
