Pendent lighting - What's the diameter on those pendent lights? The restoration hardware by me only has 16" ones on display and they would be very large for my island. »
lucindalane Since they are similar finishes, like many have pointed out, it seems like it would be fine to mix them. They would be similar in hue, but just different enough in texture and shine to add to the visual interest, IMO.
fitmomof2 Go to greenfront furniture...just google it online. They have these I just saw them today...only like 130 dollars a piece. They are exactly like these just without the cushions.
I love your table. We have been looking for a pedastal table for our kitchen for a long time! Would you let me know where to find the table and chairs and the names of each?
Very much appreciated! Thanks! »
Cyndi K. That's a cool table in the Brian Watford photo. After searching for a while for a vintage or antique in a small but not cafe size- I found a simple sturdy pedestal style for our kitchen on Overstock.com (deliverd cheap and fast)- it could easily be distressed or customized; chairs are West Elm
susu0607 Rebekah, you mention the tiles is a little small. Is that mean something like 3"x6" subway tile will go bestter in this picture?
My cabinet is more like Vanilla colour with dark black countertop, do you think the tile will go with my kitchen?
Many thanks!
kitchen island size - how long is he kitchen island? what size is the benson pendant light (7", 13" or 16") and is it a polished or satin nickel finish? thanks »
Cabinet Hardware - Finish - You put a link up for the Amerock cabinet hardware - did you use the satin nickel finish or the graphite finish? Thank you! »
We are unable to center our sink under the window. They will have 2 window together (as in this photo, I believe) with sink centered under left half. I want apron sink (biscuit tone) but cabinets are stain. Wondering if this sink is off center and if there is a front (Window/sink) view of this kitchen so I can visualize the off center sink better. Thank you!

12. Accessorize. Add colorful or patterned cushions to your chairs. Put collections and beautiful objects on open shelves.
Tip: Think of your kitchen the way you think of your living room. How can you add fabrics, accessories and artwork?
8. Flexibility: What I love about classic kitchens is that they're chameleons: You can take the same kitchen and completely change its look by mixing in modern bar stools or lighting ... or industrial bar stools and lighting ... or traditional — you get the idea. Classic can become eclectic by adding modern tile and mixing it with a vintage-style table and chairs and industrial-style pendant lights.
Chairs generally provide a compelling accent to a kitchen table, but the additional detail around the edge will make the table’s visual appeal that much more enticing.
The kitchen is one of our favorite rooms for juxtaposition. Combining wood with steel and chrome gives touches of both the rustic and modern, things that every room needs.
