esg1027 Thanks for the quick reply, I was asking the question because of the concrete wall in this picture. In addition, what is your experience in dealing with flat roofs?

Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects The garden wall is CMU with stucco finish. We have used flat roofs on many jobs and if built correctly they perform very well. We use membrane roofs.

Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects Very well. If its near ground that is dirt the rain will splash mid, etc. Or trees brushing against it. But otherwise it has performed very well. I drive by this project at least once a month.

Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects I was the designer. We had it fabricated by a local metal worker/welder in Austin.
