Immediate Success - Hand Designed Silk Art, Silk Embroidery

Silk embroidery art was invented in China over 2,500 years ago. This high quality silk art is created using embroidery techniques developed from the world famous Suzhou style of silk embroidery. Each piece contains over 100,000 stitches on average.

Embroidered is a Chinese ink painting by Xu Beihong, an early 20th century master of fine art credited for reinventing modern Chinese Art. Though proficient in western art techniques, he was most famous for his paintings of horses and birds in the traditional Chinese style.

This painting is paired with the popular Chinese idiom "Immediate success when the horses arrive", which describes matters that are carried out smoothly, rapidly achieving success. The idiom stems from the legends surrounding Chinas first emperor describing how his magnificent army of horses were central in his mission to quickly unify China.
