Floor plan? :) - Could you post the floor plan showcasing the corner sink if possible please? It's difficult to guesstimate the space needed. Thanks!!! »
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! You will need at least a couple inches so the doors open and function properly. It also depends on your layout of cabinetry, what is happening left and right of the sink? We have base cabinets which gives us the landing space and enough clearance for the doors. Good luck with your project!
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! The floor is a natural oak with a seal and varnish. We recommend visiting your local flooring showroom and they can help you find a similar finish!
Venegas and Company Yes, it is a 1x1 glass tile. I cannot confirm it is by Oceanside because it was sourced by the interior designer, but Oceanside makes a similar product!
slwslw I'm using a bright white glass tile in my kitchen, 1x3 stacked. Any suggestions on grout color? I want very little, if any, contrast between grout and tile, but have been told not to use a true white grout. Thanks.
Venegas and Company Thank you for all of your input! We do not do corner cabinets often, but in this particular layout, the windows played a huge role the placement and it works well! It's all about the space you have and optimizing it for the way you work!
bettyrug We have a deep corner sink and LOVE it...but it's in front of corner windows with a rockin' view so that might have something to do with our amour. ;) Seriously though - our kitchen is une petite (a "one butt kitchen" as they say) and the corner sink made great use of the limited but workable space...in the middle of redoing our kitchen now so we had the opportunity to move the sink if we wanted to, but we love it just where it is - in our little corner with a view :)
Technological innovation: Technology also will enable seamless aging-in-place design and the incorporation of electronic displays and control panels, as well as lighting, into kitchen surfaces — countertops in particular. Further product innovations and electronic advances will make wireless/plugless countertop appliance operation a reality.
Design flexibility. In small kitchens, where you need to take advantage of every inch, orienting the sink in the corner can preserve as much work area as possible.
Sustainability: Most stainless steel is made of 60 percent recycled content and, because it can be recycled again and again, has an extended useful life. Be sure to seek out American-made stainless steel with a high percentage of recycled content. For healthy indoor air quality, the glues should have no or low VOCs, and the plywood or fiberboard should be labeled "no added urea formaldehyde."
Really great combination. stainless counter? Possibility, depending on durability (denting?), might look cold? Like the handles, but maybe a bit too big. Not a huge fan of too many upward swing cabinets or high gloss, would prefer matte finish.
