Mixing metal finishes - I really like how you mixed the finishes...faucet and cabinet hardware. I want to do the same but I'm afraid it may not look right. I have a SS sink. I am trying to decide between a silver colored faucet to coordinate with my SS appliances or an antique brass faucet finish. I plan on purchasing antique brass cabinet hardware and lighting fixtures. Do you have an opinion on what would be best? »
Can you add a few more pictures from different angles? - We are embarking on a kitchen reno and have not chosen the counter top or lighting fixtures and back splash. After seeing this counter top, I am not sure that I want to consider granite. We have a large island as well and I am not sure what I would do as a counter top for that.
thanks,

Venegas and Company We do have a couple more images of this kitchen! You can reference them in the project album "This Old House - West Newton Hill Kitchen". There are definitely alot of materials/colors out there, and we suggest visiting your local stone fabricator and seeing what is available.
Venegas and Company This is a Solid surface counter. Lagos Blue by Caesarstone. Our fabricator routed the channels directly into the counter top. Its is a very sleek look and practical!
Venegas and Company The backsplash is a mixture of a honed limestone and porcelain. We suggest visiting your local tile showroom and they can certainly help you - good luck!
Venegas and Company The finish is a custom antigue white paint with a brown glaze. I'm sure your local cabinet maker can work with you to achieve the perfect color for your home! Good luck!
Is that an appliance cabinet on the counter above the dishwasher? If so, does it swing open (even though it looks like it slides up)? I would love to include one of these in our kitchen and this is the first one I've seen that looks beautiful. Thanks! »
Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! The countertop door swings up and will retract into the cabinet. The countertop runs completely underneath for an open work surface.
Venegas and Company The paneling in the background is actually a cabinet from one of our manufacturers. And Kelly is correct, there is a glaze. Have a look at Ben Moore's "hancock gray", it is very close! Good luck!
