Urbana ~ Designer Ellen Crystal this colour has a subtle violet undertone. look at some of the new greys by Benjamin Moore. Every colour has an undertone.. Blue, yellow, green, orange, red, violet. By comparing a progression of greys, you'll see this emerge. If you can't see it ask the paint pro at your store. The homeowner here, likely went with the violet/mauve undertone as the cabinets & the tiles have a fair bit of red/violet in them. It harmonizes quite well as a result. Always take your other samples to the paint store & then once you narrow it down, get a tester & see how it looks in the house.
