Little Boy Blue! A man's study done with a light touch, this den/guest bedroom remains airy with a mix of materials. The doughnut-hole pattern of the cut velvet sofa fabric has three hues on the off-white ground, which echo in the cream and blue Berber carpeting. The smaller-scaled club chair and decorative pillow are from Crate & Barrel and Pier 1 respectively. Modern art meets homespun with the handmade afghan; and a surgical steel coffee table on wheels screeches to a halt near an antique end table, painted four shades darker than the walls while an oak, roll top desk and contemporary oak pier table co-exist, unseen, as a work area in the foreground.
