alice2107 hello, would it be possible to have the references for this rusty orange wall paper and where can I find it in the States? It really looks fabulous. Thank you!
I have 10 ft windows in my living and am trying to find a very, VERY economical way of treating them. I have to cover them because my energy bills are extreme due to the amount of sun in the summer. I have been told that scarf valances are the best way to go, but I can't figure out how to use them beneficially. Thanks »
Marie Hebson's interiorsBYDESIGN Inc. Hi Kiwitwist03, I'm sorry, but I don't see any R or UV value in drapery, Not for the price point anyway - especially on this large of a window. With drapery, you will always have some of the window pane showing, unless you go fully operable. You must line them, and they need hardware, and to make a statement your paying premium for a great fabric - you end up spending a LOT of money with custom drapery. Elegant -but very pricey. An alternate would be HunterDouglas Silhouettes - they fit right into the inside of your window frame, can come motorized if needed, you can even have these in your arches. Lower price point would be single honeycomb Duettes, excellent R and UV value - you will see the difference in your heating and air conditioning billing. www.hunterdouglas.com I would have an estimate done for both options, see which way you prefer to go -
The purple spotted rug in the center of this orange room keeps this room on the more playful side. While combination is certainly daring, it's not out of reach for someone willing to take a risk.
Incorporating purple in the right doses with the right colors can make all the difference. In a room heavy with orange, a simple purple accent rug takes this space from monochromatic to chic.
