Inspiration for a contemporary kitchen remodel in Seattle

This project was a joy to work on, as we married our firm’s modern design aesthetic with the client’s more traditional and rustic taste. We gave new life to all three bathrooms in her home, making better use of the space in the powder bathroom, optimizing the layout for a brother & sister to share a hall bath, and updating the primary bathroom with a large curbless walk-in shower and luxurious clawfoot tub. Though each bathroom has its own personality, we kept the palette cohesive throughout all three.

Our La Cañada studio juxtaposed the historic architecture of this home with contemporary, Spanish-style interiors. Inspiration for a large timeless l-shaped dark wood floor and brown floor open concept kitchen remodel in San Francisco with a farmhouse sink, recessed-panel cabinets, white cabinets, white backsplash, black appliances, an island, granite countertops and subway tile backsplash

By relocating the sink and dishwasher to the island the new kitchen layout allows the owners to engage with guests seated at the island and the banquette while maintaining a view to the outdoor terrace.

This laundry has the same stone flooring as the mudroom connecting the two spaces visually. While the wallpaper and matching fabric also tie into the mudroom area. Raised washer and dryer make use easy breezy. A Kohler sink with pull down faucet from Newport brass make doing laundry a fun task.
