The Gatehouse
What type of roof tile is that and where can you get it? Also same question about the stone.
that look with Chilton Siena, we might have to tweak it a little though to get the look. I see it's an older post, so if you still need something let us know how we could help! The swatch has a buff mortar so it's not a straight apples-to-apples look. http://www.houzz.com/photos/1840454/Chilton-Siena-details
sound sales-y, but we are a certified remodeler and licensed contractor...much experience in high end and renovations. Would love to have you check us out. Website under re-construction, but may be accessible www.mydreambuilt.com or Facebook at DreamBuilt, Inc. Hope to hear from you!
failures found in a slate roof typically arise when it's installed by an amateur or the slate is low quality. When hiring a slate roofing contractor, ask about his or her experience and for client and material references. A slate roof that lasts 150-plus years can be had only with high-end slate and installation

I prefer polished chrome. What about installation of the ceiling fixture & the faucet?
I am not sure on this home as we sold it about a year ago; however, we often use Restoration

the roof structure in concert with the walls on either side of the open space. It's evident in this view that the Hillside House uses wood for just about everything, yet always in a pared-down way that makes the design quite modern.

counter a few inches with a drawer. The drawer would serve as a storage space for things like oven mitts, etc. The drawer doesn't need to be more than about 3 inches high. Any suggestions?
It is custom. This particular counter was done for us by Chicago-based Steelskin.
What about this for the useless corner? Could buy us some valuable space...

like very well. The first is a metal roof....again, while adding cost, it provides a distinct look that shingles don't. Secondly, what I REALLY like about this photo is the size and shape of the large arched windows in the tall gable areas of the home....they feel much more correct to me than trapezoid
What do you like about this photo? I love the huge knee braces over garage
