That was key to preventing the top from tipping at the stool end! In the end, we had four points of suspension. The SS tubing also gave us a raceway through which we could run power to the lighting that's routed into the underside. You can read a Trends magazine article about this kitchen on my website

What's the art lighting for this wide hallway: Wac or Lightolier?
You've done a beautiful job with the lighting. We have a similarly wide hallway, (7') and we are struggling with lighting options. We're wondering what you used'n this beautiful example. WAC, Lightolier? Halogen or LED? Thank you.
accent lighting - add in corners
Accent light: Lighting that highlights specific features in a room, such as an architectural element or a work of art. It’s usually produced by track lights
Accent lighting is the frosting on the cake — it’s not as critical as the other two, but it adds a nice finishing touch.
The feel of the hall lighting etc
The artwork is lighted up by eyelid
overhead lighting creates a mood while lighting a pathway. Mistake 4. Using incandescent or halogen sources without dimming. While we are all finding ways to retrofit lighting with more efficient, longer lived light sources than incandescent, it is still a viable and important part of lighting in a residence

Need help to light up my onyx
How were you able to back light onyx so evenly? How do u change the lights if u need to? Is it a wallpaper on the rest of the walls? The most beautiful use of onyx I've ever seen!
Patrick Dwyer is correct. Edge-lit, light disbursing panels are the method we use at IMI for backlighting precious stone panels.
To backlight stone evenly you can either use edge-lit or back-lit LED panels, www.knema.com has some great options for doing this.
