An incredible, 8-inch-deep reflecting pool, inspired by one he'd seen in a hotel lobby in Thailand.
Inspired by a hotel lobby in Thailand, Designer Supon Phornirunlit brought home the idea of a reflecting pool to his home in Washington D.C., furnishing most of it with clever inexpensive local finds. By "local," I mean the nearest IKEA and Pier 1 Imports.
inspiration on his world travels. A Thai hotel lobby's reflecting pool inspired him to lose his high-maintenance plant collection on his deck in Washington, D.C., and replace it with a shallow pool. He created a relaxing Far East atmosphere by gathering inexpensive umbrellas, chairs and elephants from Pier 1
