Japanese Inspired Remodel in Noe Valley-Kitchen
doors adjacent to hood, so that they don't bump the metal corners? My new kitchen has this problem because hinges open just past 90 degrees. I'm wondering if you've prevented this from happening. I have new IKEA Adel kitchen. Thank you.

How practical is a rug like that in a kitchen. I suppose if the person doesn't cook much, it will be fine, but in a high traffic area where spills will happen? How do you clean the rug. Also--is a white-painted floor easy to keep clean. The kitchen is beautiful. Love it. Love the unique cabinets
Great use of Japanese tansu style cabinets in this kitchen
This is the other side of the kitchen. The rest of the finishes were kept simple to let the beauty of the wood cabinets shine. These pieces were custom built to look like tansu. The horizontal bars on the end panel are a traditional detail.
