decorative piece. You come into a foyer. Nothing in it except a place to take off your shoes and hang your coat. Then you come through the 'door' to the living room done in asian style. Wouldn't the foyer and ritual of taking off your shoes in the vestibule be soooo appropriate, ritualistic in nature.

The entire room seems modern, yet traditional, simple yet beautiful and the creator has really used Japanese Zen design to the full here. I particularly love the grain
