Again. Sometimes you just see the world a bit different. What if instead of trying to open the hall way, it was closed off with a decorative piece. You come into a foyer. Nothing in it except a place to take off your shoes and hang your coat. Then you come through the 'door' to the living
privacy when needed, and return the space to its open plan the rest of the time. We can see two examples here: a sliding screen with both wood and decorative glass elements to block the stairs, and a pocket door for the room beyond.
