Koi pond in between decks. Pergola and decking are redwood. Concrete pillars under the steps for support. There are ample space in between the supporting pillars for koi fish to swim by, provides cover from sunlight and possible predators. Koi pond filtration is located under the wood deck, hidden from sight. The water fall is also a biological filtration (bakki shower). Pond water volume is 5500 gallon. Artificial grass and draught resistant plants were used in this yard.

This 10'x10' Curved Roof Azumaya doesn't have a curved, extended Ridge Beam like my usual Azumaya Designs. Instead it has a straight western style ridge, which my client wanted left exposed, with a curved end.

I am devoted to illuminating the carbon footprint a building leaves upon the planet.
Therefore, my exterior and interior designs are focused on optimizing a building’s potential to react to,
rather than impose upon, the landscape and surrounding elements.
Each project is an opportunity to explore new avenues of state-of-the-art interior design, building science and construction methodologies. I like to state: “DESIGN IT SMART, BUILD IT STRONG, FINISH IT RIGHT!” Smart technology is factored into my designs so that a building can intuitively sense and change with the surrounding environment. Intuitive Smart Technology allows a building
to perform as a self-contained and self-sustaining structure. For my residential clients, Intuitive
Smart Technology provides a seamless integration of a home’s operational systems – and security rooms and safe haven is taking a lead in homes where privacy is of the utmost importance.
My designers, planners and consultants, strive to achieve every project’s goal with a new and unique approach. We specialize in every aspect of design; ranging from branding to urban planning. Sandra Costa Design Group Is a firm with partners and networks all over the world. We have a global perspective, enhancing the outcome of our design. Our international reputation for innovative design and a unique view of design gives clients a new aperture to there project.
I am always interested in hearing about a new project and can be reached at 310 874 3739 to discuss yours.

This is the entry way to the backyard. The LED lighting provides a warm welcome and the beautiful custom plate art serves as a wonderful addition to an already stunning backyard living area.

The backyard of this brick home on University Hill in Boulder was in need of renovation to bring together awkward angles, window wells, and uneven surfaces. This tight space was not inviting and rarely used. The homeowners were inspired by turtle shells and desired bamboo plants for their Asian aesthetic. Clean lines and light creams have replaced the mix-mosh of haphazard stones and unset redstone pavers. Now the space feels intentionally designed and welcoming.

The traditional brick facade of this 1890’s South End row house screens a dramatic and daring renovation of the interior. An open riser staircase with glass landings ties five levels together and allows light to filter down and play against red Venetian plaster walls. Steel beams support four cantilevered balconies over the Japanese garden, forging a strong relationship with nature even in this urban setting.
