This remodeled bathroom now serves as powder room for the kitchen/family room and a guest bath adjacent to the media room with its pull-down Murphy bed. Since the bathroom opens directly off the family room, we created a small entry with planter and low views to the garden beyond. The shower now features
walls and an enclosure made of 3-form recycle resin panels with embedded reeds. The space is flooded with natural light from the new skylight above. Design Team: Tracy Stone, Donatella Cusma', Sherry Cefali Engineer: Dave Cefali Photo: Lawrence Anderson
Hi there, For these bathroom walls we used a smooth troweled cement plaster with a sealer. The construction is much like you would use/see on exterior walls.

Japanese Inspired Remodel in Noe Valley-Living Room
Hi Mark, beautiful work. Thank you so much for the info. (I also picked vertical grain doug fir for all my doors in a recent whole-house remodel, and we're very happy with the results. Your door looks familiar, so I asked. I chose Inox Crescent 311 door levers with circular petals, and Inox
an orangeish tint, a warm & happy feeling.) For the cabinets, I picked cherry wood, but it was because a year ago I was 100% clueless about any construction, so I had no idea about any wood types, nor did I know doug fir is an option for cabinets. Happy winter. :)
