cool idea, minimum walls needed bedroom, wet room in the back, small kitchen, uses little space, concrete floors?
and paint as exposed joists. the rest could have been done better, but I like this as a cheap fix that adds perceived depth to the ceiling. love the black concrete floors. white ceiling . had the kitchen area. bathroom area a weak effort. could have went with better LED lighting betwen joists. right directly

We have painted concrete block walls in our basement and I'm trying to find a cheap fix without installing drywall or putting up paneling. I hate the block wall look so I hate just to paint them but these walls could work perfectly

redo our basement and this gives me and idea that maybe we won't have to make it into something that we can't do. Our ceiling height is a little less than 7 ft so keeping the rafters that we painted white years ago will have to remain. There is a lot of great ideas here for use to utilize. Thanks

How would you clean a painted concrete floor? Would the paint rub off? I'm just curious as I like the idea of this, or stained concrete, but it sounds like stained concrete may be kind of a pain to clean..

rather not share specific costs per owner request. It depends on a lot of factors. The costly items that increase square foot cost are the bar and bathroom areas. Be careful using epoxy paint finish for floor. Get advice from your local paint supplier to make sure you use the right product based on your

We have used this idea in our pantry/ laundry area. How do you get a tray to it in here for leaks?
was the designer on this project. There was a very old utility sink in the opposite corner from this laundry area. We remodeled that in to a full bathroom and eliminated the laundry sink. You can see that in the other photos for this project.
I spoke with Mike O'Hearn, the senior project designer on this project, and he assured me that the dryer and the bathroom fan both vent outside.
I like this for in the bathroom.
