These floors were stained and polished by a professional company so the exact colors and methods are not known to me. The owner picked the color from the company samples. Sorry I am not any more help to you. You could probably do the polishing yourself by renting a floor polisher. I think the staining

It looks like designer concrete at first, but I think I see tile. What type of flooring is that?
This was a Taupe colored reactive concrete stain. This is no longer available but we can achieve similar results with a toned down black stain.

if the floor isn't new? If not would you have to pour a new layer of concrete?
We did seal the saw cuts with a urethane concrete compound.

Can you give any additional details on the concrete? We are looking to resurface a concrete basement floor and our contractor has not done it before. Approx cost? depth of new concrete? Need laser leveling? Complexity...? Thanks very much for any info you can provide.
My basement with a carpet right now is measuring 6"7 removing carpet would give us some extra height but as we live in Toronto i am guessing we would have to install heated flooring or concrete would be to cold? is there another solution? Thanks

Trying to decide on basement floor. Please share +/-
w/stained concrete, I would have to use area rugs to soften the look. If I choose laminate, it will look less like "basement" and may be easier on the feet. Having a hard time choosing what looks good, wear well, easy to clean & comfortable to use. Your comments greatly appreciated. Thank you.
