Installation and safety features of fireplace
What about the fireplace? Is it vent less? Gas? What would I need to know to install this fireplace, such as specific safety features?
I am building an entertainment center in one of my rehabs and I am using this concept because it is magnificent. I am installing a flat screen tv and an electric fireplace below just as the photo shown. How far out from the wall did you build to accommodate these features?
This is beautifully done! We are planning to install a Montigo fireplace in a very similar configuration to this. Please tell me what size this L-Series fireplace is. Also when you say the mantel is 41"

How did you install the Outlet on the Ledgestone/Stack Stone?
We have been considering using Ledgestone as a backsplash, but due to the unevenness of the stone I think it would be hard to install the outlets. How did you install your outlets here on the uneven stone?
Could this be done under the stairs in the new LL? Just a plain wall now but water not too far away. Might be better for any kitchen to be nearer the patio door.

It appears that you used can lighting installed between the joists. What material did you use to screen the cans (i.e. the square elements that are painted brown that spans between the joists)?
I personally did not install the plywood pieces since I am the architect but I would recommend you pre-drill and screw them into place.
Duebber.

Yes, the floor is painted/stained concrete (existing) with rugs. According to the windows, we installed what I call a "sill apron" made of stained birch plywood on wood blocking allowing it to float from wall.
