house have radiant heat instead of forced air? And, if radiant, are the basement floors heated?
how do you sound proof the exposed joist ceiling from top floor noises?
What flooring did you use? Want to duplicate!thank you!
I like the color and the tile used for the floor. What is the tile name and where can I get it?
forced air heating and cooling. Radiant heat is a great upgrade if your budget allows it. Thanks.
You know if you have like a lowes or home depot, they sell radiant heat strips you install under your flooring, it is inexpensive, adds to resale value, and it's comfy (: and as for duct work I have the
room and electric drum set down there. Currently, we get almost no noise upstairs -- presumably due largely to the current drop ceiling. If we remove the ceiling tile, I'm concerned about how much noise will penetrate to the kitchen and family room upstairs. Since we've been living here almost 20 years

type of flooring? is it a laminate or hardwood.. what description would i need to provide to get this specific type of flooring? Thank you.
put down radiant heat? And, what type of pad did you use?
type of flooring was used, what was used for subflooring to hold the weight of the pool table
concrete floor and will not prevent floor damage. The floors in this basement do not have radiant heat. Basement floors do not necessitate radiant heat; it's just an "upgrade" that homeowners may consider.
Confused here a bit. What does vapor have to do with protecting the floor from water damage if
regarding radiant heating, but was not addressed. Will the vapor barrier protect a newly installed flooring system and/or carpeting should there be a flood and since the remodel is a basement, is radiant heat necessary? Thanks.

this cork floor installed over radiant heat? If so, is it glue down or floating ?
What brand is the cork floor?
with cork floors? Does furniture movement damage the surface?
Are most cork floors pre-sealed with polyurethane? Is it desirable? Is this what gives the cork in this photo the sheen it has? (I like the look.)
This was not applied over radiant heat. It is a floating floor.
Cork maintenance is similar to hardwood. It should be cleaned the same way. With heavy furniture, you will see dents in the floor when furniture sits for a long time, however, cork has a certain amount of resilience, so eventually, the dents will fill in and disappear. I recommend
a cork floor (even pre-sealed) with a polyurethane, as it is prone to fading from direct sunlight.

love the barn light electric light fixture over the pool table
bar. The floor is covered with 3- by 6-inch travertine tiles, designed to hold up to parties and wet feet from the nearby pool.

I would love to paint my ceiling basement, however have run into difficulty with electrical inspection regarding what is allowed to be painted and what isn't allowed to be painted. Was this an issue for you and how did you deal with it? Thanks
seperate the floors. There is a door that occurs at top of stair. Bedrooms occur on second and third floors so there was no real need to isolate sound. Floors overhead are hardwood as well.
paint the floors with epoxy. Thank you.
It was not an issue to my knowledge or the contractor would have brought it to my attention. I would ask inspector to state/ identify what building or electrical code section/article limits the painting of work. If he can't state one then he should permit it.
