Very Modern Basement Remodel by Moss
What type of fireplace is that? Vented or non vented and I assume gas
Where can I put the media room or pool room? Is it near from the kitchen? Or garage?
We appreciate your question! The fireplace is gas and was vented out in the back.

I'd like to do a cabinet similar to this; is the washer/dryer cabinet vented in anyway? I was looking at the spec requirements and they indicate venting is required e.g. a mesh or slats about the size of a air/heat register.
I spoke with Mike O'Hearn, the senior project designer on this project, and he assured me that the dryer and the bathroom fan both vent outside.

What about the fireplace? Is it vent less? Gas? What would I need to know to install this fireplace, such as specific safety features?
best in my opinion. As for media components, if your going with wood faced doors, like shown in this image, then you will need to provide some venting above the cabinet, as well as an RF (radio frequency) remote or an IR remote sensor 'eye' that gets inconspicously placed some where that a remote

Or are these upper cabinets that you are using on the bottom, please let me know. Thanks I am not sure how I get the reply

mechanical room? Older homes tend to have 80 percent (or less) efficient furnaces and hot water heaters. These gas and oil-fired appliances need to vent vertically, which means that many of them are clustered around a mechanical chimney or other masonry chimney. Switching to new 90 percent efficient
appliances comes with two perks: lower utility bills and the ability to place them pretty much wherever you want. These furnaces and water heaters vent horizontally with PVC pipe. That means you don't have to be near a masonry chimney and will have more layout flexibility.
