Flooring in this lobby is preexisting marble square tiles which I would not advise in a kitchen.

The marbling look comes from the original markings and scuffs on the existing slab. From the builder, "Stained and sealed, then a urethane topcoat." The client selected the final stain color.
what did you use to stain the floors and what was the process?
This is actually a stained concrete. The floor is not perfect becuase the house was remodeled, but it is cool looking!

Beautiful stained concrete floor gives the illusion of water in this lake house home. Enhanced by rough laid brick which backs to the crawl space. Custom bookshelf door leads into the crawl space of the home. Who ever said a basement has to be ugly?

Took me about 2mins before realizing the floor is a FLOOR and not a pool.. amazing flooring..
What color are the floor joist painted?
Floor joists what color was used.
The floor joists were painted with a Porter Paint White.
John Stroud of Uniq-Crete did the floor. He is out of Nashville, TN. He is fabulous to work with.

Thank you for your question, these floors are solid hickory in 3", 5" and 7" beveled planks which create all the color variations
The floors are natural hickory pecan set in 3", 5" and 7" wide planks which creates all the color.

That is a great entertainment room, I wish my man cave looked like that. I personally think that one of our Gardenfall floor fountains would excellent against the back wall. Great work you always have excellent photos.
What type of flooring and brand was used?
Hi and thanks for the question (and compliment). The flooring is a 5", Turlington Plank, Engineered (floating) Cherry-Red Oak.
