Hi and thanks for the questions. A vapor barrier (more accurately referred to as a vapor retarder) only provides protection from moisture that will naturally permeate the concrete floor and will not
protecting the floor from water damage if there's a flood? Also, the other question was regarding radiant heating, but was not addressed. Will the vapor barrier protect a newly installed flooring system and/or carpeting should there be a flood and since the remodel is a basement, is radiant heat necessary?

Hi Kristi, the client chose not to soundproof the space. Instead, we installed glass sliding doors to divide the area while providing a sound barrier. We also added a room divider where doors could not be installed to serve the same purpose.

It is a perforated aluminum panel to help absorb sound , it does not create a sound barrier between rooms . You can add acoustical panel behind it that can be supplied by the manufacture if desired. Your architect or interior designer should
