Hello. Question about the floor. Looks like a Michalangelo marble I carry. Could it be? Or maybe St Laurent? Nice job!
What type of floors are these? Thanks
This is actually a stained concrete. The floor is not perfect becuase the house was remodeled, but it is cool looking!
The material surrounding the fireplace is a concrete tile with a rough texture.
what did you use to stain the floors and what was the process?
The floor was an older concrete slab with some patina already, so we applied a few coats of tinted sealer then 2 coats of polyurethane.
The floor is great! What treatment does it have?
These are concrete pavers from Stone Creak Pavers out of Manor Texas. I believe the color is dolphin grey. The beauty of this material is the visual texture and depth usually limited to natural stone. Also, like natural stone each tile or paver is unique and never duplicated. Thanks, S

"It's lovely to work with a client who is really thoughtful about texture, lighting and materials, and this one was," Crittenden says. A great example of the play of different textures and materials is this fireplace sitting
fireplace. (The textures warm up the room as well.) The porcelain floor tiles continue up the fireplace wall, which is punctuated by a reclaimed-wood mantel and a splash of troweled-on gold glass beads.

bit. I'm not sure if a power washing wouldn't crumble them further. Would a thin mortar layer and seal then paint work to achieve this cave like texture?
How did you achieve the texture of the walls?
the block wall look so I hate just to paint them but these walls could work perfectly for us! I've looked elsewhere online and I haven't seen this texture anywhere.
Yes, the floor is painted/stained concrete (existing) with rugs. According to the windows, we installed what I call a "sill apron" made of stained birch plywood on wood blocking allowing it to float from wall.
Is the floor painted with throw rugs?
Black high gloss exposed ceiling and ductwork, polished concrete floors, textured walls.
textured walls, polished concrete floors open rafters, square exposed ductwork.

The flooring is Travertine Limestone. Thanks for your interest! www.hendelhomes.com
This would be really cool is expanded out to a whole kitchen, for the main floor
Create a cozy atmosphere. Layer dark textures, like stone and wood. Avoid bright overhead light and integrate something softer, like iron wall sconces. If you have a fireplace, even better. A roaring log fire crackling in the background adds gentle light and warmth.Consider installing wainscoting or
or some type of wood paneling on your walls to create visual warmth and texture.

I stained, sealed and waxed my concrete floors in the basement. I hate the color and imperfections. Could I do a colored epoxy over or would I have to grind down or strip off the sealant?
Flooring, could you tell me the price per SQ FT to do the epoxy?
