Industrial Chic Basement
Mosaik Design & Remodeling recently completed a basement remodel in Portland’s SW Vista Hills neighborhood that helped a family of four reclaim 1,700 unused square feet. Now there's a comfortable, industrial chic living space that appeals to the entire family and gets maximum use. Lincoln Barbour Photo

bathroom walls - do window like design along top wall only
no place awesome left for the bathroom. In that case it's often best to run hard in the other design direction and celebrate it in plain sight, make the bathroom part of the plan and a piece of the experience. Celebrating "unwanted" things is one of my favorite design tricks.
Be bold. The typical strategy for a bathroom in a basement is to hide it, but sometimes there's just no way to pull that design move off that isn't boring. The reason: Basement bathrooms need to compete for space with the furnace, water softener, hot-water heater
love the tile Backsplash! Please tell me where it's from? thanks
It is a ceramic tile that has a "wood grain" look to it. The tile are pretty large.....18" x 24" if I recall correctly. It came from Renaissance Tile in Atlanta. They could provide you with more of the details. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes
Yes, this glass tile is absolutely georgeous. We got it through Renaissance Tile here in Atlanta (404) 231-9203. If you talk to Alan over there, he can tell you the specifics. I know
that it came from New York and was very expensive (like, $140/sf). Also, if you do end up using any glass tile as your backsplash, make sure you have an installer who is familiar with glass tile installations. It is much more difficult than stone or ceramics. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes

The tile is glass that has a foil look to it. The foil is silver with brownish "veins". Used a light silver grout to make them pop.
I like the style and the design.
