Considerations of use for standing or seated placement of steam and water controls, dual delta showerheads, grab bars and accessory storage are accounted for within reach to meet individual needs. Design, selections and finishes uniformly combine an accommodation for physical limitations within a soothing timeless retreat. Use of semi-custom cabinetry and ceramic wall tile provide for the functional and aesthetic requirements while keeping with a budget for the therapeutic steamer unit. The design exceeds the homeowners' goal to create a master bath for dual use that accommodates their present and future physical needs, improved maneuverability, efficient storage and an aesthetic with custom detailing and furniture-style cabinetry to create a timeless and soothing elegance.

Every so often we get the unique opportunity to collaborate with another designer. This quirky and elegant master bath could not have been more fun to be a part of. Meg Miller's incredibly cool vision for her clients' master bathroom was modern and bold, but refined, comfortable and inviting. The clients had specific needs for storage and the use of space, but didn't want anything to appear function-over-form. No amenities were overlooked: custom walnut cabinetry, heated floors, a digitally controlled shower and steam shower, and an all glass water-closet.

The wall tile in the powder room has a relief edge that gives it great visual dimension. There is an underlit counter top that highlights the fossil stone top. This is understated elegance for sure!

Michael Merrill Design Studio remodeled this contemporary bathroom using organic elements - including a shaved pebble floor, linen textured vinyl wall covering, and a watery green wall tile. Here the cantilevered vanity is veneered in a rich walnut.
