In collaboration with Darcy Tsung Design, we remodeled a long, narrow bathroom to include a lot of space-saving design: wall-mounted toilet, a barrier free shower, and a great deal of natural light via the existing skylight. The owners of the home plan to age in place, so we also added a grab bar in the shower along with a handheld shower for both easy cleaning and for showering while sitting on the floating bench.

Master bathroom design & build in Houston Texas. This master bathroom was custom designed specifically for our client. She wanted a luxurious bathroom with lots of detail, down to the last finish. Our original design had satin brass sink and shower fixtures. The client loved the satin brass plumbing fixtures, but was a bit apprehensive going with the satin brass plumbing fixtures. Feeling it would lock her down for a long commitment. So we worked a design out that allowed us to mix metal finishes. This way our client could have the satin brass look without the commitment of the plumbing fixtures. We started mixing metals by presenting a chandelier made by Curry & Company, the "Zenda Orb Chandelier" that has a mix of silver and gold. From there we added the satin brass, large round bar pulls, by "Lewis Dolin" and the satin brass door knobs from Emtek. We also suspended a gold mirror in the window of the makeup station. We used a waterjet marble from Tilebar, called "Abernethy Marble." The cobalt blue interior doors leading into the Master Bath set the gold fixtures just right.

This carefully considered master bath in a Brooklyn carriage house blends timeless design with contemporary luxury. An oversized glass enclosed shower is bright and inviting. A minimal style brings elegant simplicity with walls clad in large white porcelain tile, recessed panel gray lacquer custom vanity, honed marble vanity top, custom mirror flanked by vertical surface mount sconces, Kohler tub, and Newport Brass traditionally inspired faucets, rain head and hand held shower. The light natural finish white oak flooring is the same material that flows throughout the home.

Interior design by Lewis Interiors Richard Mandelkorn This awkward, dark interior bathroom was transformed into a spacious and practical retreat, with a separate his and hers vanity as well as a seated makeup table. Statuario marble wainscot and slab countertops bring luxury and polish to the space, with a waterworks soaking tub and separate walk-in shower and watercloset nearby.

This transitional "his & her's" master bathroom features furniture style vanities, quartzite countertops, undermount sinks, a stand alone tub. The glass, walk in shower shows off the marble beautifully while the chrome accents are an added luxury. The decorative crown-molding surrounding the entire bathroom gives it its finished look, creating the ultimate master bath.

To make the master bath symmetrical on either side of the window, I stole 10 inches from the study so that when I redesigned the space, the vanities on the left and right were mirror images. The faux, long-haired goat bench adds a touch of whimsy and contemporary styling beside the rectangular, free-standing tub. The tiny metal accent table is handy for a beverage or a book.
