The stone is quartzite. You can get it from Island Stone. They call it wall cladding, Himarchal White. I wouldn't recommend it for a regular use shower. It would be hard to keep

least slightly contrast the stones with the grout so that the individual stones stand out and "pop". Making everything blend perfectly kind of eliminates the point of using such a unique, natural surface!

is slightly lighter and a slightly tan color which is darker...but I had not thought to wet the stones!! Clearly matchy matchy is not a good idea with the pebble tile and grout.
