It is just lightweight white concrete, t is available from many different manufacturers that make topping slabs.

Are you referring to cut lines in the concrete? If so without cut lines the concrete will crack. The client for this project did not want any cut lines and did not mind having some cracks.

floors are sealed concrete and the base trim clear aluminum. Where walls are not exposed CMU, they are painted white. By design, the fireplace provides a singular source of warmth, the gas flame emanating from a bed of crushed glass, surrounded on three sides by a polished concrete hearth.
Just wondering what type of sealer was used on the concrete blocks?
Since concrete block is porous, these are painted on the exterior. The interior face can be left untreated or use a clear sealer (with a matte finish).

does one find this, thats not made of concrete?
Concrete is unique in its ability to be cast into any shape and almost any color. Since most shops use a GFRC mix design (glass fiber reinforced concrete) the material and weight are kept to a minimum. If you like plastic you could probably get some kind of acrylic material thermoformed like this
molds for the concrete. Slabs of quartz or granite can be glued together but they have seams and only provide flat planes. A solid piece of stone could be carved into this shape but it would be hard to source, very expensive, incredibly heavy, and produce a lot of unnecessary waste. Concrete is an amazing
custom concrete sink for you. If you are interested or just have questions please feel free to contact me. You can also still search your local area for talent or check out other shops in the country. Regards, Vince VC Studio Inc. vince@vcstudioinc.com ...

What is the finish on the concrete?
I love that look too. The Washington State Convention Center is a great example of board-formed concrete. Thanks for posting.
That is board-formed concrete, meaning that the formwork was lined with cedar boards as was done before plywood was used. Thanks for asking. DA.

The same board-formed concrete used at the entry is also used indoors. The pocket door fits into a subtle saw-cut slot to close off the powder room, allowing the wall to extend past the room when the door is tucked away.Sink: honed Absolute Black granite Veneto Pedestal Sink, Stone Forest; tile: Coal

any kind of antiqueing or sealer to concrete wall?
Can you create this wood distressed concrete on the floor?
be difficult to execute. You would want to check with your concrete contractor on this one. Good luck!
I assume the concrete was poured during the construction. Is it possible to get this look after drywall is done, or during the traditional wall construction somehow? thank
The wall is actually a structural concrete retaining wall where the form boards (wood) were intentionally kept a 1/4"- 1/2" apart to allow for some of the concrete to "ooze" out and create the linear pattern. The concrete contractor didn't want to do it as it was more work having
Yes... it is board formed concrete with a wider gap between boards to get the more pronounced seams and texture.
