I love that look too. The Washington State Convention Center is a great example of board-formed concrete. Thanks for posting.
That is board-formed concrete, meaning that the formwork was lined with cedar boards as was done before
The same board-formed concrete used at the entry is also used indoors. The pocket door fits into a subtle saw-cut slot to close off the powder room, allowing the wall to extend past the room when the door is tucked

7. Install a pullout pantryWhy should kitchens have all the best ideas for storage? A pullout pantry can work just as well in the bathroom, and can vastly increase storage capacity. This one has been installed over a laundry chute.

Take a few scap boards and work with the paint color you like. Start by "cutting" the paint with water ( as long as it is water based paint ) and apply to the board. Keep cutting the paint until you reach the desired opacity once dried. It may take several tries to reach the desired look. Good luck
What was the stain or paint used on the boards?
like the idea of storage not the style
Cut with water? More water more opaque look.
