John, thank you for sharing your designs and ideas. I have a lower level with concrete floors that have been there for years. They are currently covered with vapor barrier and laminate. I would like to achieve a finish similar to what you have done in this bathroom
such a finish on my concrete floors without a wet pour of new concrete? Any advice you can give regarding the process would be appreciated.
use a finish that breathes moisture in and out. Then you won't have any problems. I'm not sure this comment went under a different name.
The front of the tub is wood. You need to use a wood that weathers well. Mahogany, cedars, white oak ,Douglas Fir, teak. Then use a finish that breathes moisture

gloss/lacquer finish on the chest of drawers looks great, especially in an unexpected color...perhaps it is something we might want to try with our poor old bedroom furniture, as we have nothing to lose.

room was finished off without any window trim at all using plaster. Covering all of the walls with clay plaster is desired as it does not need paint, and for it's allergy dust resistant no and no properties. We can live with this finishing solution in many rooms if it is more cost effective.
interior finish is made from slaked lime, marble dust and pigments. It is far more durable than paint and resists cracking. Prices range from $5 to $15 per square foot. Ceilings and columns will cost more because these are difficult areas to work on.

comes to finishes, so if you have an old favorite faucet that's looking drab, try calling the manufacturer to see what the warranty policy is.If you're new to selecting finishes, it's a good idea to get all the other fixtures and accessories in a matching color.
