The master bath seen here is compact in its footprint - again drawing from the local boat building traditions. Tongue and groove fir walls conceal hidden compartments and feel tailored yet simple. The hanging wall cabinet allow for a more open feeling as well. The shower is given a large amount of the floor area of the room. A curb-less configuration with two shower heads and a continuous shelf. The shower utilizes polished finishes on the walls and a sandblasted finish on the floor. The vessel sink is made of granite with wall mounted faucet set on wood plank wall. The floors are slate and a custom cubby system with individual keys for guest valuables.

The bathroom adjacent to the primary bedroom in this historic home was a poor excuse for an owner’s ensuite bath. A small single vanity and toilet pushed against one wall and a tub/shower combo with a tiny bit of storage on the other side, leaving a lot of wasted space in between was not fit to be a primary bathroom. By utilizing the window wall in a creative way, the bathroom square footage was able to be maximized. Mirrors suspended in front of the windows solved the issue of placing the vanity in front of them. The shower cubicle was placed on the opposite wall, leaving room for an elegant free-standing tub, to replace the cheap tub/shower insert. Whimsical tiles, custom built-ins, and a heated floor upleveled the space which is now worthy of being call an Ensuite bathroom.

Das Bad ist 8 qm. Das Boden ist mit Marmorfliesen verlegt, die Wände mit Azulejos (spanische Handgemachte Fliesen) gekauft bei Designfliesen Berlin. Die Porzellan Steckdosen in Vintage still sind von Manufactum. Die Badewanne und die Toilette in viktorianische Stil sind von der englischen Hersteller Burlington (Hampton Badewanne, Low Level WC). Die Dusche & Wanne Brause sind von der Italienische Hersteller Lattore. Revision klappe nach maß durch mein Schlosser. Der Waschmaschinen-Schrank haben mein Tischler nach Mass gebaut.

イタリア ソレントを想い起こす海のようなバスルームに改装してほしいというご要望のもと、ユニットのシャワールームに替わってイタリアモダンデザインの父と言われるジオ・ポンティデザインのタイルを使ってリノベーションした物件です。続く階段室、廊下も同様に改装し、大きな１空間と感じるよう一体化した空間に仕上げました。
