I love wood trim. Most trim these days is white. Not sure why?
prefinished molding from the cabinet company. The color is called espresso and it's stained over maple wood. I would visit a good paint / stain store in your area and bring a sample of the wood you would like to stain. They could give you some good advice on products to use for your project.
