Nice idea having a window in the shower but doesn't this cause problems keeping clean especially if water is hard?
You wrote the floor is made of solid walnut. Isn't it get damaged by the water?
may lead to mildew building up and there will also be the need to quickly clean any water splashes from the wall. Will try to use a waterproof paint to do the job. Thanks!
the wall above the tub is painted (not a water proof paint) the wall below the tub is limestone.

Yes, that is a beautiful tub! The water delivery is cool too.

effective exhaust fan help, as will regular cleaning with white vinegar. An alternative is to add oil of cloves (1/4 teaspoon) to a full spray bottle of water, spray on the surfaces and leave overnight before rinsing off. Reseal baths and showers every year or so to keep moisture out of walls and floors.

Dual-flush toilets. Toilets consume far more water than any other indoor fixture, accounting for 30 percent of most homes' indoor water use

toilets, increasingly common in homes, are an easy way to cut water use without compromising effectiveness. A dual-flush toilet differs from standard models with two flush options: one for liquid waste, which uses less than a gallon of water, and a second for solid waste.

YVR water is low in minerals, but perhaps the pH leads to staining?
how wide is the glass door? From the photo it appears that the water would splash out onto the floor?
Are the tiles split face mosaic tiles and if so are they individually grouted to prevent water from penetrating?
What is the name of the water fixture in the shower?
These tiles were extremely durable. Only soap and water necessary.
I was wondering the same. We plan to do a similar layout. How much space should we allow from the wall to get into the shower? Concerned about water on the floor for overspray.
small ledgestone tile, unless you know your water does not leave staining on your tile. Ledgestone achieves the stacked-rock look — like on this shower wall — with the rough face of the stone facing out. The rough surface means that it's slow to drain, and water with a heavy mineral content will build up

behind it? Also, the black strips in-between the timber I assume are gaps/recesses, where the glass shower screen intersects them, is it possible for water to escape in the direction of the vanity? I also wonder where the taps/mixer is for the shower, presumably on the white glass wall?
It helps that the door is all aluminum. If any water gets past the line of caulk between tile and door frame, there is flashing that will carry it out to the exterior. In reality, the shower is large and well-drained enough that there is not a lot of water over near the doors anyway.
