Mirror surrounded by reclaimed lumber...if you like, we could do something similar. The wall could also merge into the counter. Please note that wood walls would not
The enclosed wooded structure maintains its deep roots in this newly constructed space. Raw, unfinished timbers perfectly balance the presence of stainless steel and keeps the room from feeling cold.
Rustic and modern can mix perfectly by creating accent walls in unfinished wood. The balance here
If you are renovating or building and want to explore this look, consider walls created with reclaimed wood with corners finished in rustic metal. This is especially interesting in a contemporary space.

Vanity - so perfect! Can you tell me about wood, where it was made?
was there anything used to seal the wood from moisture?if so what. Ty
Hi bella_mar: The wood was left natural without any sealer.
Hi laujane: The vanity was made custom by a cabinet maker. The cabinet has a Maple plywood interior body and is clad with the same reclaimed wood that is used on the opposite wall (salvaged from the selective demolition of the walls of

What kind of wood is around the tub and shower?
We just used IPE on a project and it looks like this and it is beautiful. I know it is one of the hardest woods available but wanted to see if this was what was used here.
Thank you so much for the IPE wood affirmations. I have just spec'd it for a clients outdoor range hood cover. In teaching my client hat the beauty is in the understated elegance and longevity of the wood. They have fallen in love with the piece. Longevity being that it will withstand any of the heat
It is a dense rot resistant wood from South America that is often used in outdoor applications. Good luck!

Questions3
It's not stone, it's petrified wood! This durable and rare tile would make for a luxurious and warm bathroom.
Very handsome tiles. But you are misinforming your readers when you say it isn't stone and is "warm", so here's a little FYI. Petrify comes from the Greek word for stone. "Petrified wood literally means wood turned into stone. After the wood becomes buried, [perhaps in water]
dissolved minerals enters into the wood and deposits minerals inside the tree’s cells, taking on the exact shape of the cell. Over time, all of the cells become filled with minerals while the organic matter decomposes." What is left is stone which looks exactly like the wood it replaced. The color is determined
determined by which minerals were taken up by the wood. Wood which is now petrified has to be at least 65 million years old.

I would like to know the exact model in this photo from Weathershield's line of wood windows.
What is the approximate cost for the mahogany surround bath tub? What woods wear best with the least maintenance in wet environments? Thank you!
Is the tub deck made of wood? If so is this made by a specific company?
The wood windows on this project are by Weathershield, and distributed in Austin by Exclusive
i am unable to comment on any costs. this bathroom was built in 2004, and involved a trim carpenter, a plumber and the painter to seal the wood. We chose mahogany because of its ability to stand up in a damp environment.

Questions6
What is the wood look on the walls?
What type of reclaimed wood? Width of planks?
Is this a question? The cabinet is made of wood, salvaged from structural lumber on the site.
The wood species is probably Douglas Fir (not really sure) and yes the widths vary as they were
The wood was the structural framing for the original coach house that sat on the site. The Width of the planks vary as some of it was 2 x 4's and some was framing joists, 2x8's, 2x10's.
