Is the wood oak? White oak?
(but not quite white) sandy beach inspired mosaic tiles in shore and bath surround. Shower head has an outdoor shower feel to it, and the wood hints at weathered shingles.

I love the different textures of wood in this bathroom, especially contrasted with the gray stone tiles
where she’s had many clients. She also pulls color from driftwood, as seen here in a New York bathroom she designed. “It’s a wood color but with a grayer tone, just like wood left on the beach to gray naturally,” she says. The variegated glass tiles, meanwhile, feel like the “undulation of waves in water

We live in a modest one level home in New Mexico. We have a white shingled pitched roof with an older red brick half wall in front & siding the rest of the way.
Hi Dan, love the look...my question is-- I have some reclaimed barn wood that my husband and I got, but wonder how you get the"old barn smell" out of the wood?
that's the cabinet color, but its old wood :-)
Love the wood..may not live with wear and tear?
It's rustic, eclectic, totally unique. Also love the colors, the wood....
Use a mix of weathered woodsThis is a great example of how to use timber to full effect. The mix of different weathered woods is a textural treat and creates a look that would work equally well in a country home or quirky city apartment. Even the towels and wall lights tone in so nothing breaks the mood

Year ago I did a wood shingled shower waterproofed in this manner, and except for the water aging on the cedar shingles, it was waterproof for several decades until the house was remodeled. There
I noticed you mixed corrugated metal with wood on the outside of the house. Are ALL the walls in the powder room corrugated metal, or is one of them wood? Just curious.
Corrugated roofing material, my current obsession. Cheap, accessible, durable, attractive.
Break out of the drywall box by repurposing your building materials. Exterior roofing meets interior walls to create a unique spin on a powder room.

The glass roof panel arches over the walk-in shower, which is next to the cedar-panelled sauna. What type of wood did you use for the ceiling? Was it a type of flooring or just from a lumber yard?
many textures here but that dark stone floor and natural wood ceiling kill it.
ceiling might be smart here. I recommend sealing the wood surface with boiled linseed oil and/or urethane. I also recommend sheeting the ceiling joists with 15-pound tar paper (the black paper you see under roof shingles) before installing the wood. Tar paper is water resistant and will keep moisture
While wood is a durable choice for bathroom floors, it's also fantastic on the ceiling. It adds a sense of natural warmth in a space where, well, most of us are au naturel

What wood did you use for the walls? is it cement board?
It's real wood - fir, if I remember correctly.
It's wood tongue & groove boards, primed and painted.

Beach house, nice use of natural wood
I like the full effect of white and wood. no tub needed but the shower is beautiful
under a steaming hot shower to help you unwind – and I can certainly imagine doing just that in this inviting bathroom. With cool white walls, warm wood tones, an open layout, elegant decor and an abundance of natural light, the soothing space is the perfect chill out and pamper zone for family members
