I disagree on the size issue. if you have more tiles over the smae area it will make the space feel more generous because of the repetition. If you have large tile and only a few with visible grout, it makes it feel smaller.

I have 8" walls and will be doing 12X 24 tiles horizontally with stripes of 5/8 mosaic (can do approx 3 or 4 tiles per stripe). Should I stripe between each row?
It is a remodel but it is actually a new wall as we stole space from the hall bath to add to the master. Drywall already up, unfortunately. Working on paint colors today and was going to go with the hallway color, Benjamin Moore Alpaca. However, it makes the field tile (looks a lot
