There are a couple of recessed Fluorescent (cost less than LED) in the ceiling over the standing area in front of the vanity (see the reflection in the mirror). Thanks for the question, Michael
general contractor regarding the rough opening , as we semi recessed the cabinet in the stud wall behind it. The med cabinet mirror face is 2'-3 1/2" wide and 3'-1 " tall. The mirror sits beyond the cabinet sides by 1-1/2" to allow for the LED light strip. Thanks for your question Michael

Typically I install a PC of plywood first then attach the mirror to the plywood and hide the edge of the plywood with small pcs of mirror

Thanks for your question jennielmika! This is a custom mirror that was put together by a local glass company. It is a fairly basic design that consists of a frosted glass panel with a mirror mounted on each side. The hardware is from a company called Griplock Systems http://www.griplocksystems.com/
